Grandma Nancy's Christmas Gift! A homemade blanket!

I had been wanting to make a blanket for my mother in law for a few years, and every year I said I would make one and didn't. This year, Christmas 2013, I finally made the blanket. So what if it was Christmas Eve and I did the whole thing start to finish in 3.5 hours. She is such a special person to me and my whole family. Being in a wheel chair now, I wanted to make sure she had a nice homemade warm blanket for her lap or at bedtime. Here is the result!

My Christmas Gifts for Teachers/Therapists/Friends/and Family

These were a hit!  I took cups, put in a pack of spiced cider, hot chocolate, eggnog tea, and gingerbread tea!  Put the lid on, added a cozy, and voila... Awesome AFFORDABLE Gift!  Super cheap, easy, and fun to make.  The feedback was so great and fun I may just do them again.  There are lots of people selling them on Etsy, so not feeling the need to venture into that selling market.  Too many fun craft ideas and not enough time to make and sell it all...  AUGH!

My latest crafts for a baby girl on the way!

I had so much fun making all these goodies!  The Michael Miller theme was super fun to work with.  I even made a cute coffee cozy for the mom to be to keep in her purse, and her coffee cup will now match her diaper bag and other fun accessories!  The memo boards and boxes were coordinated to the preference of the girl's favorite colors and I forced myself to use stuff I have on hand!  That was a challenge, but felt good to start using up the over abundance of craft supplies I have sitting at home.  I am excited to be making way more coffee cozy holders for teacher gifts this year.  Super easy, fun, and cost savvy to make!  There are a bazillion on etsy and eBay, so I am having fun gathering likes/dislikes/ideas for mine!

Yusha's College Blanket and Pillow Set! Go Cougars!

Here is the blanket and matching pillow for Yusha.  She picked out her fabrics with a little help from me, and then I designed it along with Ed's input.  A very busy print to blend together, but we feel with the smaller strips, I was able to pull in the colors together quite nicely.  She is so THRILLED!  She loves it! Oh and the pillow is reversable.  One last thing, I normally don't show my house clothes in pictures, but Madalyn insisted she took great pics of me sewing, so me and my nasty sewing clothes and a tank top to boot.  Sorry!
