Hairbow Holders

These are super fun and a great accent piece to the nursery, not too mention a great way to keep track of those hair clips that get left all over the place! These sell for $8 - $10 a piece depending on the design...

Yusha's Hawaiian Surf Blanket

Our neighbor girl/pretend teenage daughter had her 18th birthday! She put in a request for a blanket with a super soft back, Surf/hawaiian theme. This blanket cost over $60 to make. She loved it, took it to an overnight party at a hotel, and it was stolen. So, here is what is left of it. PICTURES!

Flower Design Set for a custom order!

I very rarely get pictures of my items set up in the room that they are being used for, but I did get one customer to send me some photos... Enjoy!

Custom Fourth Of July Build a Bear outfit!

I made matching build a bear outfits for Madalyn and her friend for the Fourth of July parade they were in. Here is Bunny!

My first Blanket! Kaseton's Choo Choo Blanket!

This was my first blanket I made, and it was a hit! We have since added to the blankets here, and I will post more... This is a Thomas the Tank Engine blanket! Kaseton's "Choo Choo" Blanket!

Madalyn's Room

When we found out we were being blessed with a fourth baby, we quickly had to figure out how we would fit in a fourth child into a three bedroom home. Thanks to a hard working grampy, a painter friend, and thrifty parents, Madalyn got her own room downstairs! We took our bonus room and built in a wall, put in flooring (which was bought at a garage sale for $7 total) and she was able to take her Surf theme downstairs! Her friends love her room, as it is like a little apartment and decked out in a fun Tween/Teen theme!
- The duvet on her bed was once a queen size one, as she used to have a queen bed. We found her a free twin bed on Craigslist and painted it. I cut her duvet down to a twin and used the left over material to make her a custom window valance.
- The green furry toss pillow was made from left over fabric that we bought to make her dresser scarves with, giving it a green grass feel.
- The Toss pillows are made from Pottery Barn Kids Crib bumper, in the pink Island surf. A very popular design.

- The little white cabinet was a real junky cabinet that we found on the side of the road believe it or not. We took it home, and Ed put his painting skills to work ( he used to paint cars for a living ) I then took a crib sheet from the Pink Island Surf Line and decoupaged her new drawer knobs. I made a scarf for the top, and now it is super cute and fully functional.

- Her dressers were my mom's old set, then mine, etc... So, they are family heirlooms at this point. But they were dated and ugly! We painted them up and gave them new life. Again, covering them with custom made scarves to protect them and add soft touches to the room.
- The other custom handmade items were done by an artist on Ebay that I have traded work with in the past. Great to be able to network in that way.
- Switchplate and outlet covers were custom made by me as well, and usually sell for $5 - $5.49 a piece on Ebay

Boring Kitchen?

Those who know me, know that I am a coffee addict. I keep my addiction under control by decorating with it more than drinking it. :) Here are my new outlet covers. I always have a red kitchen, but this kitchen has outlet plugs over the counters, and they were so plain! So, here is a great cheap way to spruce up the kitchen! These sell for $5 a piece!

Kaseton and Bryceton's Room

Here are just a few of the items that my boys have in their room:

- Wall hangings, made from a crib bumper! Have sold a few sets of these for $19.99 a set. Don't have any available at the moment, but if you have a bumper that you want me to make some wall hangings, pillows, etc... from, just email me! Aslattery77@hotmail.com I can also make you stuff from your themed sheets, to keep the theme alive as your baby grows into the toddler/preschool years.
- Pillows made from a bumper. I love to stuff a pillow in a basket. My boys share a room, so dresser space is limited, so this pillow is actually covering up a basket of socks!

- The small pillow on the shelf, was another way that I use material to soften the look of boring walls or hard surfaces... A great contrast!

- I am also posting pictures from when their room had a toddler bed. Pictures of them with their twin beds will be coming soon... The toss pillows were made by me and generally sell from $8-$10. The material again was from a crib bumper. Notice the Thomas the tank engine blanket, that was made for Bryceton when he had his tonsillectomy and adenoid removal surgery. He took it to the hospital with him.

Avrilyn's Room

I have been asked numerous times for pictures or samples of my work. So, I am hoping to use this blog to post items of my work. If you see any creations on here that you would like for yourself, be sure and email me at: ASlattery77@hotmail.com... Enjoy the pictures.
- The dresser scarf was made by me, it is a very simple design, with a pink cotton bottom. This dresser has great sentimental meaning, but could use a refinishing, so a scarf on the top is the perfect solution!

- The Diaper wipe cover is a new design, and so far I am loving it, as it adds life to the room while covering up the ugly plastic box. I will soon be putting in a white box to even tone it down more.

- The hairbow holder is a newer item that I have also offered up for sale on Ebay and have gotten excellent feedback on. Avrilyn loves her hairbows, I used to have them in a dish that was my grandma's. Well, one day I saw the handle on the dish had been broken, but no one will fess up to breaking it :( The hairbows became quite the distraction during diapering, as she always wanted to play with them instead of sit still, so this is the perfect solution!

- The pillows are made from her old Crib Bumper! I was so sad to have to take it down, but the risk of entanglment is great once they are crawling, so pillows were the perfect solution to keeping her soft pink brown theme alive! The one in the basket is covering up a pile of bibs, another way to make ordinary clutter things a decorative piece.
- Wall Hanging is something I have made and sold on Ebay as well. This was made from her crib bumper, and it is a great soft touch to any room.
- Night stand scarf was made to protect the top of the wood nightstand. I backed it with a pink and white gingham flannel, so it is reversable. If in the future I switch the theme I can simply turn it over. :)
- The On-The-Go taggies are a favorite here and on Ebay, Craigslist, Craft Fairs, etc... I have made many and all have recieved rave reviews! Avrilyn's two favorites are shown in her crib, along with an accent pillow that I keep in her crib, when she is not sleeping! She loves her taggies and they are super great as they are small, so little hands can drag them around with them while on the go!
