Yusha's College Blanket and Pillow Set! Go Cougars!

Here is the blanket and matching pillow for Yusha.  She picked out her fabrics with a little help from me, and then I designed it along with Ed's input.  A very busy print to blend together, but we feel with the smaller strips, I was able to pull in the colors together quite nicely.  She is so THRILLED!  She loves it! Oh and the pillow is reversable.  One last thing, I normally don't show my house clothes in pictures, but Madalyn insisted she took great pics of me sewing, so me and my nasty sewing clothes and a tank top to boot.  Sorry!

Madalyn's Zebra Room Part 1

We have not finished the walls. We need to paint the blue wall, add some different shelving design, remove other shelves, etc... Also, may rearrange her furniture, AGAIN!  So, this is just part 1 of what I have done so far.  All the toss pillows on the bed were made by my, except the solid pink blob pillow.  Also, Made her a custom valance from a pottery barn teen sheet I bought off of eBay and the pink is from the bed skirt that came from her bedding.  Also, all switchplates/outlet covers, and memo board was made in Pottery Barn Teen from the same sheet!  Enjoy!  Madalyn made the Live, Laugh, Love sign!  I think she did a great job!

Wall Letters for the Kids!

This was a fun craft night!  When you have four kids and they all have long names, you tend to just settle for one letter per kid on the wall, and I chose to do that one letter up nice and big for them!  Turned out super cute and less cluttered on the wall to have two names on the wall in the boys' room.

Avrilyn's new ponytail box

Avrilyn successfully broke the lid on her last ponytail holder box, and I am so sick of cleaning up hair bands on the floor.  So, I bought this plain cardboard box for $1 at Joanns!  I used all the other supplies I have here on hand and created this darling box!  Was super fun and easy! I can't wait to make more and give them as gifts, etc...  I am sure the flower will be ripped off soon, as it is not a princess crown, castle, wand, or glass slipper.  So, enjoy this photo shoot before the 2.5 year old alters it to her satisfaction.

Yusha's Dorm Room Decorations and Friends' Gifts

French Memo Board reminiscing her high school days!  Made by me, designed by Yusha!  Was so fun to see the finished product!  She is ready to make another one for her College Days!
The french memo board minus the gobs of pictures :)

Yusha's letter to go above her bed at college.  She painted it, and I did the finishing touches!

Seasons of Change, college, teenager, kindergaten, etc...

I have been very busy crafting this last week.  What a blessing to have my two oldest daughters be so excited to be a part of it. I will be posting many of the crafts I have been working on and some of their crafts as well. We are in the process of sending our "Adopted" daughter to college in less than two weeks, so the time with her doing late night craft nights has been priceless.  We are also in the middle of transitioning the tween room to the teen room as Madalyn turns 13 in a month.  So, you would think that would be keeping me busy.  Not long after we got started on the room redecorating planning, my boys come to me and tell me that they want a Transformer room.  I said "NO" as Pottery Barn doesn't make a Transformer theme and I still LOVE their PBK Fire Truck room.  Then, I stepped back, and really thought about it.  Was this about me or them?  I have prayed over my boys to grow and make choices, and learn from the choices.  This is their space, and I am not the one to control it, unless it is just way off the deep end in ideas.  I told them that I would allow it, but they have to keep the Autobots (the good guys) as the focus and not the Decepticons (the bad guys).  What a stretch it was for me to let go of my ideas and let them pick.  I was surprised Bryceton who has been a Thomas the Train fan, wants a Transformer room.  He looks up to Kaseton so much, that I think he wants it because of Kaseton.  Now, Miss Avrilyn 2.5 says she wants a Princess room.  So, I did add in a few crafts for her, but will not be redoing her room any time soon!  Has been lots of fun getting out the craft stuff and creating new things!  I think I may have new product and ideas on the horizon to bring in some more income!  Would love to hear your thoughts on things you like or even don't like about my crafts, that is why I keep my blog.  Mind you, everything is done on a budget.  The cost to redo my kid's rooms is ZERO dollars, a total swap of selling the current decor on eBay and Craigslist and with the money made we purchase the new stuff!
